To all FITA Member Associations:
Dear friends:
The Cuban Archery Federation and CUBADEPORTES S.A. are pleased to invite
all FITA Member Associations to participate in the Caribbean Arrows
International Archery Tournament, a World Ranking Event, to be held in
Varadero, Matanzas, on October 28 - November 5, 2005, with the following
Competition program:
October 28-29: Arrival and free practice.
October 30 : Official Practice, Team Captains Meeting and Equipment
Inspection.
October 31 : FITA Round, long distances.
November 1 : FITA Round, short distances.
November 2 : Individual Olympic Round, Women recurve and Men compound.
November 3 : Individual Olympic Round, Women compound and Men recurve.
November 4 : Team Olympic Round.
November 5 : Departure.
Medals will be awarded to the first, second and third places in each
distance, the total of the FITA Round, the Individual Olympic Round and
the Team Olympic Round.
Registration fees:
For those delegations whose accommodation arrangements are made with
CUBADEPORTES S.A., the following fees will apply:
Individual registration per archer : 40.00 CUC
Individual registration per team official: 25.00 CUC
For those delegations whose accommodation arrangements are made with
other agencies or individually, the following fees will apply:
Individual registration per archer: 50.00 CUC
Individual registration per team official: 30.00 CUC
Accommodation:
CUBADEPORTES S.A. makes the following hotels available to the
participants:
Hotel Villa Lamar
Double room: 40.00 CUC per person per night.
Single room: 45.00 CUC per person per night.
The costs include lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as
transfer to training and
competition, and primary medical care.
Hotel Internacional
Double room: 70.00 CUC per person per night.
Single room: 90.00 CUC per person per night.
The costs include lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as
transfer to training and
competition, and primary medical care.
Hotel Sol Sirena
Double room: 65.00 CUC per person per night.
Single room: 85.00 CUC per person per night.
This hotel is "All Inclusive". Transportation to training and
competition, as well as primary
medical care are also covered by the amount paid.
Airport-Hotel-Airport Transportation
Teams arriving at Jose Marti International Airport in Havana will be
transported to
Varadero and back to Havana for 20.00 CUC per person.
Teams landing in Varadero will have their transfer included in their
packages.
Confirmation of participation
The organizers have established the following deadlines for
confirmation:
August 25 : Preliminary registration with number of participants by
category and hotel reservations.
September 30: Nominal registration of all participants by category.
