The Archival Archery Board decided during the 2007 general meeting to take on a new project - rewarding youth archers for their dedication and commitment to the sport.  Tom Barker agreed to take on this complicated task and has formulated the following criteria, endorsed by the board, for identifying the TYAOTY (Youth Archer Of The Year) for 2007.

1) Youth archer of the year awards will be given for the following divisions:
Bowman, cub, cadet, junior, male and female, compound and recurve (no barebow at this time).
This is a total of 16 awards
.

2) The awards will be based on the best three finishes from the following events. Note that there are 5 Archival Archery events during the year for the youth archers to shoot in.
Archival Archery State JOAD 600 points possible
Archival Archery State Indoor 1200 points
Archival Archery State Field 720 points
Archival Archery State Outdoor Target JOAD 1440 points
Archival Archery State Outdoor Target 1440 points

3)The archer's finish rank (as is currently done for the senior AOTY awards) vs. aggregate score will be used to determine overall rank due
to the disparity in points possible from the 5 events.

4) A plaque will be presented for the youth archer of the year awards.

5) Awards will be presented at the fall A indoor tournaments.
