Attention all archers. Here’s an opportunity to get valuable training and 1 on 1 coaching from probably the second most knowledgeable “BEST system” coach in the country (Mr. Lee being first of course). Former assistant national coach Larry Skinner will be in College Station A the weekend of May 11th thru May 13 offering his experience and knowledge on applying the BEST shooting system to your game. There will be some lecture time to kick the weekend off followed by shooting with hands on coaching by Mr. Skinner himself. If you’re an intermediate archer, this course is for you. If you’re advanced, put the razor edge on how you shoot. If you’re a coach, come learn how to convey this information to your athlete. By the way, to quote Tom Barker, “the only difference between a compound and a recurve archer using this system, is the hand is upside down”. So, if you are a compound shooter, come see Mr. Skinner. You will be welcome with open arms. The course is to be held at G Rollie White with Friday evening being lecture and class time in room 263A. The shooting will be indoors in Reed 303. Depending on the number of participants, Saturday will be broke up into mini shooting clinics with Mr. Skinner working one on one with the athletes. It is our hope to keep each clinic to about 1 ½ to 2 hours per group with a maximum of 5 to 7 archers. This should give Mr. Skinner quality time with each archer. Cost per participant will be 100 dollars each to cover expenses and such for bringing Mr. Skinner here. Part of the proceeds will go to help the TAMU archery club. We will have to limit enrollment to 30 archers due to time constraints. Email your name and contact info to David Anderson to hold your slot. I will email you with more details on arrival times and such. See ya there David Anderson Brazos County 4H & Brazos Valley JOAD Club back to home |
