Resuts of the NArchival Archery National Target Championship
A number of Texan Archers attended the 118th NArchival Archery National Target Championship held at the end of July in Canton, Michigan.
This year's event had heat and humidity, wind and rain to test the mettle of the archers. The NArchival Archery has posted the results of the event. and pictures from the event can still be seen on the Archival Archery website |

Possible Training Clinics
We need to explore the possibility of holding training clinics with NArchival Archery upper echelon coaches this coming indoor season and next spring. Let's gauge the level of your interest and HOW you would like to take advantage of being able to have a coach evaluate YOUR form and technique. Perhaps your son or daughter could benefit from a session? What would you like a coach to do for you, and very importantly, how can we afford to have these coaches travel from parts of the US to say, Austin or Houston or Victoria, to conduct these clinics? If you could have a session with a coach like this once every 3 or 6 months or even once a year, what would you be willing to pay? Go to the Archival Archery message board and answer these questions - YOUR MESSAGE will help formulate the clinics! |

Nymbrk, Czech Republic
Sage Adams, Kevin Barker, Jake Misenheimer, and Tim Meyers formed the A Contingent of the US Junior World Team that journeyed to Nymbrk in the Czech Republic in the beginning of August. Tom Barker was one of the parental cat-herders for the trip that included 32 athletes on the team, and his pictures and delightful dialogue about the event grace the pages of our website.
A Prescription for Fun by Tom Barker Take one part well organized committee, one part fabulous weather, one part gracious host cities, and gently add 361 archers from all over the world and the result is one good time. You can read elsewhere the scores and many other much more eloquent than I will describe the shooting, but I wanted to describe the experience...click here for the whole story.
And click here for the official results of the event. |

The Adventures of Holly Heinsohn
The Heinsohns went to West Virginia this summer to enable Holly to participate in the 2002 IBO World Championships. This was Holly's second time at this tournament, and judging from the writeup by Kathy Heinsohn (Holly's Mom) this was a real experience to remember. It's good for the NArchival Archery archers to remember there are many other groups that do fine work in archery, and you can't help but wish you were there as you read the excellent report by Kathy. |

Archival Archery Archer Realizes Dream!
No, he didn't shoot a 1440 perfect score, but it's something else he has wanted to do for some time - open his own archery store! Ron Harder recently announced the opening of Sugar Land Archery in the southwest region of Houston. For more information see his new website at http://www.sugarlandarchery.com (how's that for easy to remember?) And be sure to drop around to see him when you get a chance. Way to go, Ron! |
