Continue to work the putty into a larger mass, adding chunks that have been blended a little already.  Work quickly and briskly, twisting and mashing the putty until it is a consistent color.  This should take about 30 to 45 seconds to do.  Once you begin the twisting you have perhaps 3 to 4 minutes before you have to stop working the grip and let it finish hardening.
